Roller Coating

Rollmac ColorGlass

pictured, ColorGlass is a new single-roller machine, suited to the enameling and design printing of glass sheets by means of an engraved cylinder. Thanks to its high versatility and ease of use, Colorglass is the indispensable working tool for in-house laboratory or production lines. With ColorGlass it’s possible to enamel and print any kind of flat glass on the market easily with sheet thicknesses from 2 mm. to 25 mm. and sizes up to 2600 mm. Colorglass is suitable for small dimension tiles and decorations to big sizes such internal walls, doors, and facades. A wide range and choice of rollers, with different engravings, enables the users to apply a constant and uniform coating with an enamel quantity from 30 g/sqmt to 400 g/sqmt wet (30 to 300 microns) in one pass only. A special rubber roller, laser engraved, is available for the glazing of glass sheets not perfectly leveled, i.e. with depressions and swellings. Laser-engraved design printing rollers are available to create silk-screen effects such dots, geometrical motives, etc. As per all the Rollmac machinery, the most important features of Colorglass are the ease of use and the quick (less than 15 minutes) time for color change. The sheet transport happens by means of a conveyor belt, made of a special oil and solvent resistant rubber. A basculating feeding conveyor belt is available as an option to ease the transport of sheets with big sizes. On this belt it’s also possible to install, as an option, a lining-up device which allows the perfect sheet alignment to the engraved roller, avoiding excess deposit of paint. The main electrical panel is, as usual, installed inside the machine shoulder; it is provided with inverter for the A/C electrical motors control. On the operator’s panel are located all the machine controls and the digital color display. The centesimal regulation of working thickness is displayed on the command board.

Rollmac GlassLine

Rollmac GlassLineGlassLine is a new machine designed to enamel the edges of float glass sheets by means of a steel engraved cylinder. It is a completely new project based on the well-known technologies of enameling by a reverse roller. GlassLine has been designed to provide answers to a peculiar need of glasses bound to building and interior decoration, i.e. the coating of a frame on the four edges of the sheet. Frame sizes: min. 5 mm – max. 200 mm. This operation is performed in 4 passes with the return and 90° rotation of the sheet between one pass and the next. After all four sides have been worked, the sheet is sent to the oven for drying. The machine grants the ability to enamel sheets with thicknesses from 2 mm. to 25 mm. and sizes up to 2.600 mm. In just one pass, a constant and uniform quantity of enamel can be applied up to 400 g/msq.The main strengths of the Rollmac machines are their easy use and quick color change. Small machines can be cleaned and their colors can be changed in just 10 minutes; larger machines require 15 minutes for the same operations.

Rollmac GlassDrier

Rollmac GlassDrierGlassDrier IR is the new curing oven for enameled glass sheets. It combines a very high precision distribution and setting of drying temperature with strict criteria of energy savings. The oven has a modular construction, manufactured in different working widths up to 2.600 mm. GlassDrier IR has been designed with a special care for easy maintenance and ergonomic aspects. The infrared lamps are mounted on racks with side extraction for quick replacement or cleaning. Large opening side panels enable the inspection and cleaning of the oven inside. A fumes exhaust system with adjustable air locks guarantees the optimal evacuation of fumes without unwanted exhaustion of hot air. The glass sheets are conveyed through the oven by motorized rollers with glass fiber coating. All the oven parameters are managed and supervised by a current-generation PLC. As an option, a ventilation system is available which is mainly composed by an electro-ventilator, inverter driven and electrical heat exchanger. The cooling section is composed of forced ventilation of filtered air which is distributed over the sheet by air blades blowers.

Rollmac MultiGlass

Rollmac RollerConveyor

Rollmac RollerConveyorFor the transport and handling of float glass sheets, Rollmac designs and manufactures RollerConveyors with rollers driven by chain and AC motors. The rollers are made of galvanized steel, coated with plastic material, and mounted on bearings. The pitch of the transport rollers is 140 mm and allows the transport of sheets with length greater than or equal to 300 mm.
A wide range of options is available:
1 – Lifting system of spheres with pneumatic pistons: this system allows the rotation and manual
positioning of the glass sheets.
2 – Lining-up device for lateral alignment of the sheets: for the othogonal insertion of sheets in
the line.
3 – Inlet or outlet basculating section: one meter of conveyor can be pneumatically lifted to allow
access to the machine placed before or after the RollerConveyor itself.
4 – Side idle rollers: for the lateral loading or unloading of the sheets.
